Aurelia Dobre is a former Romanian artistic gymnast and a highly decorated athlete.

🏅 Career Highlights

1987 World All-Around Champion: She won the all-around title at the 1987 World Artistic Gymnastics Championships, becoming the first Romanian woman to do so. She was also the 1987 World Champion on the balance beam and earned bronze medals on the vault and floor exercise at the same event, scoring five perfect 10s.

Olympic Medalist: Dobre was a member of the Romanian team that won the silver medal at the 1988 Summer Olympics in Seoul.

She was inducted into the International Gymnastics Hall of Fame in 2016.

🏡 Post-Retirement

She retired from competitive gymnastics in 1989 and moved to the United States in 1991.

She married Iranian gymnastics coach Boz Mofid in 1992.

They have four sons, Cyrus, Darius, and twins Lucas and Marcus, who are known as the Dobre Brothers and are popular YouTube personalities.

Aurelia Dobre worked as a choreographer and dance coach at the Dobre Gymnastics Academy in Maryland until she retired from coaching and the gym closed in 2020.
