Catriona Elisa Magnayon Gray is a Filipino-Australian model, singer, and beauty queen. She is best known for winning the Miss Universe 2018 title, becoming the fourth Filipina to achieve this.
Prior to Miss Universe, Gray was crowned Miss World Philippines 2016 and Miss Universe Philippines 2018, and reached the top five at Miss World 2016.
Born in Cairns, Queensland, Australia, on January 6, 1994, Gray is the daughter of an Australian father of Scottish descent and a Filipina mother. She attended the Berklee College of Music, earning a graduate certificate in music theory. She also has a black belt in Choi Kwang-Do martial arts.
Gray is an advocate for various social causes, including her work with organizations like Young Focus Philippines, which supports education for underprivileged children in Tondo, Manila. She is also a singer and has been designated as an Ambassador for the Arts by the Philippines' National Commission for Culture and the Arts.
