Born on April 27, 1991, in Los Angeles, Barnet moved to Orlando, Florida, at age 12. He was an active student at Dr. Phillips High School, where he served as the lacrosse team captain. He later attended Berry College in Georgia, graduating in 2013 with a Bachelor of Arts degree.
