David John "Dave" Franco is an American actor, director, and screenwriter. Born on June 12, 1985, he is the youngest brother of actors James and Tom Franco.

He started his career with minor roles in films like Superbad and Milk, before gaining prominence for his supporting role in the television series Scrubs (2009–2010). His breakout film roles came in the action-comedy film 21 Jump Street (2012) and the ensemble heist thriller Now You See Me series (2013 and 2016). Other notable film appearances include Neighbors (2014) and The Disaster Artist (2017).

In recent years, Franco has expanded his career into filmmaking. He made his feature directorial and screenwriting debut with the 2020 horror film The Rental, which he also starred in. He co-wrote and starred in the 2022 romantic comedy Spin Me Round. He is married to actress Alison Brie, his co-star in The Disaster Artist, and they have collaborated on several film projects, including The Rental and Somebody I Used to Know.
