Derrick Henry is an American professional football running back for the Baltimore Ravens of the National Football League (NFL). He was born on January 4, 1994.
Nicknamed "King Henry," he is known for his imposing style of play and larger build than the average running back, standing 6 feet 2 inches (1.88 m) tall and weighing around 252 pounds (114 kg).
He is a successful player noted for rushing for at least 2,000 yards in a season at the high school, college (Alabama), and professional levels. He was a Heisman Trophy winner in 2015 while playing for the University of Alabama, where he majored in communication.
He was selected by the Tennessee Titans in the second round of the 2016 NFL draft. He has been named the NFL Offensive Player of the Year (2020), is a five-time Pro Bowl selection, and has twice led the NFL in rushing yards and rushing touchdowns. His career NFL regular season statistics include 12,230 rushing yards and 113 rushing touchdowns as of Week 11, 2025.
