Huh Yunjin (also known by her English name, Jennifer Huh) is a Korean-American singer, songwriter, and producer, most famous as a member of the K-pop girl group LE SSERAFIM.

Background & Career

Early Life: Born in Seoul in 2001, she moved to New York as an infant and was raised in Niskayuna. In high school, she was heavily involved in musical theater and was a trained opera singer (performing as a mezzo-soprano).

Rise to Fame: She first gained public attention on the survival show Produce 48 in 2018. After a period of uncertainty where she nearly gave up on the industry to attend college in the U.S., she was recruited by HYBE/Source Music to debut with LE SSERAFIM in 2022.

Artistry: Unlike many K-pop idols, Yunjin is highly active in the creative process. She has numerous credits for songwriting and producing both for her group and her own solo work, such as the singles "Raise y_our glass" and "I ≠ DOLL".

Personality & Image

Authenticity: She is widely praised for her "un-idol-like" candor. She often speaks openly about the pressures of the industry, feminism, and self-acceptance.

"The Kirin": Fans often call her "Kirin" (giraffe in Korean) due to her tall stature (172 cm) and her charming, slightly clumsy energy.

Bilingual Bridge: As a native English speaker, she often acts as the primary communicator for the group’s international fans and Western media appearances.
