Ilia Malinin is an American figure skater known globally for pushing the absolute technical boundaries of the sport. Born in 2004 to Olympic skater parents, he famously earned the nickname the "Quad God" after becoming the first and only skater in history to successfully land a quadruple Axel in competition—the hardest jump in figure skating.
He is the 2024 World Champion, a multi-time U.S. national champion, and a prominent competitor at the 2026 Winter Olympics. Malinin is celebrated for his incredible athleticism, jumping ability, and for routinely executing highly complex, multi-quadruple jump routines that have fundamentally changed what is considered possible on the ice.
