Irina Shayk is a Russian fashion model, born Irina Valeryevna Shaykhlislamova on January 6, 1986, in Yemanzhelinsk, Russia.
She is widely recognized for her international modeling career, which began after winning a regional beauty contest in 2004. Her breakthrough came in 2007 when she began a long-standing collaboration with the Italian lingerie brand Intimissimi. A major career highlight was becoming the first Russian model to appear on the cover of the Sports Illustrated Swimsuit Issue in 2011.
