Jodi Benson is an American actress and singer best known for providing the voice of Ariel in Disney's animated film The Little Mermaid (1989), as well as in its sequels, prequels, and television series spin-off. She is also known for voicing the character Barbie in the Toy Story film franchise, starting with Toy Story 2 (1999).
Prior to her animation work, Benson was a stage actress who starred on Broadway. For her contributions to Disney, she was named a "Disney Legend" in 2011.
