Kirk Cameron is an American actor, author, evangelist, television host, documentarian, and producer .
He first became famous as a teen actor, playing Mike Seaver on the ABC sitcom _Growing Pains_ (1985β1992), a role for which he was nominated for two Golden Globe Awards. During this time, he became a teen heartthrob and also starred in the film Like Father Like Son (1987).

## π¬ Later Career and Faith-Based Projects
After Growing Pains ended, he starred in the sitcom Kirk (1995β1997) and appeared in two Growing Pains reunion movies in the early 2000s. Since developing a belief in God and becoming an Evangelical Christian around the age of 17 or 18, Cameron has focused much of his professional work on faith-based projects and ministry.
