Penn Badgley is an American actor and musician, best known for his roles in television and film. He gained widespread recognition for playing Dan Humphrey on the teen drama series Gossip Girl (2007–2012) and later for his portrayal of Joe Goldberg, the obsessive and manipulative main character, in the Netflix thriller series You (2018–present). Born on November 1, 1986, in Baltimore, Maryland, Badgley began acting at a young age and has since built a reputation for his intense and thoughtful performances. Outside of acting, he is also the lead singer of the band MOTHXR.
