Sergio Michel "Checo" Pérez Mendoza is a Mexican racing driver, born on January 26, 1990, in Guadalajara, Jalisco, Mexico.
He competed in the Formula One World Championship from 2011 to 2024, driving for teams including Sauber, McLaren, Force India, Racing Point, and Red Bull Racing. He achieved six race wins, three pole positions, and 39 podiums in his Formula One career. His best season result was finishing as the runner-up in the 2023 Formula One World Drivers' Championship.
