The performer Will Power is an acclaimed American playwright, actor, rapper, lyricist, and educator, often credited as a pioneer and co-creator of the Hip-Hop Theater genre.
His work is known for fusing the hip-hop musical aesthetic (including original music, rhymed language, and dynamic choreography) with contemporary and traditional theater practices. He is known for critically acclaimed solo shows like The Gathering and Flow, as well as plays like Fetch Clay, Make Man (about Muhammad Ali and Stepin Fetchit) and his adaptation of the Greek tragedy Seven Against Thebes, retitled The Seven.
