    Mehdi Sadaghdar is an Iranian-Canadian electrical engineer and popular YouTube personality, widely known by his channel name, ElectroBOOM. His content focuses on educational comedy videos about electricity and electronics. He has a Bachelor of Applied Science in Electronics/Telecommunications from the University of Tehran and a Master of Applied Science in Micro-Electronics from Simon Fraser University.

    His videos are known for their blend of technical instruction and slapstick humor, where he frequently and intentionally creates situations that result in electric shocks, small fires, or minor explosions to comically demonstrate the dangers of electricity and "what not to do" in electronics projects. While the comedic shocks are usually planned, he has also had accidental close calls, such as an incident in 2017 while building a Jacob's ladder.
