Abhishek Bachchan is a prominent Indian actor and film producer best known for his work in Hindi cinema (Bollywood). Born on February 5, 1976, in Mumbai, he belongs to one of India's most distinguished film families—he is the son of legendary screen icons Amitabh Bachchan and Jaya Bachchan, and the grandson of celebrated Hindi poet Harivansh Rai Bachchan.

After studying in India, Switzerland, and the United States, Bachchan made his acting debut in the 2000 war drama Refugee. He achieved widespread recognition in 2004 with the hit action-thriller Dhoom and the political drama Yuva. His critical and commercial peak came in the mid-to-late 2000s with prominent roles in Bunty Aur Babli (2005), Sarkar (2005), Kabhi Alvida Naa Kehna (2006), and the acclaimed biographical drama Guru (2007).
