Aimee Lou Wood is an award-winning British actress and writer. Born on February 3, 1994, in Stockport, Greater Manchester, she trained at the prestigious Royal Academy of Dramatic Art (RADA), graduating with a BA in Acting in 2017.
Career Highlights
Wood made her professional screen debut in the Netflix hit series Sex Education (2019–2023), playing the funny, warm-hearted, and resilient character Aimee Gibbs. Film: Wood has starred in the biographical film The Electrical Life of Louis Wain (2021) alongside Benedict Cumberbatch, the Oliver Hermanus drama Living (2022) with Bill Nighy, and the historical comedy Seize Them! (2024). She was also cast to play Pattie Boyd in Sam Mendes' major four-part Beatles biopic feature film project.
