Billy Burke (William Albert Burke) is an American actor and scriptwriter. He is best known for his role as Charlie Swan, the father of Bella Swan, in the Twilight film series and its sequels.
His career includes a mix of film and television roles. On television, he played one of the main characters, Miles Matheson, in the science-fiction series Revolution, and more recently, Vince Leone in the drama series Fire Country and Hank Russell in the miniseries Maid. His other notable TV appearances include roles on shows like 24, Gilmore Girls, Monk, The Closer (as Phillip Stroh), and Zoo.
In film, in addition to the Twilight saga, he has appeared in movies such as Along Came a Spider, Ladder 49, Fracture, Drive Angry, Red Riding Hood, and the horror film Lights Out. He also lent his voice to James Gordon in the animated films Batman: The Long Halloween, Part One and Part Two.
