Casey Owen Neistat is an American YouTube personality, filmmaker, vlogger, and entrepreneur.
He is widely known for his unique, fast-paced, and highly-produced daily video blogs (vlogs), which he posted to his YouTube channel starting in 2015. His videos often feature his life in New York City, elaborate travel sequences, and creative use of technology, often while riding his electric skateboard.
Before his YouTube fame, he gained international attention in 2003 for a viral short film, "iPod's Dirty Secret," which criticized Apple. He and his brother, Van Neistat, also created and starred in the HBO documentary series The Neistat Brothers in 2010.
Casey Neistat is recognized as a pioneer who brought a high level of cinematic quality, storytelling, and editing to the vlogging format. He also co-founded the social media company Beme, which was later acquired by CNN. He is known for his work ethic and motivational phrase, "Do What You Can't."
