Chris Broad is an English YouTuber, documentary filmmaker, podcaster, and writer best known for his popular YouTube channel, Abroad in Japan. He primarily creates videos about Japanese culture, food, and travel, with a strong focus on the less-covered Tōhoku region where he lived for many years after initially moving to Japan in 2012 as an assistant language teacher on the JET Programme.
His content is characterized by a mix of dry wit, humor, and informative segments, documenting his adventures, cultural observations, and personal experiences.
