William James Nesbitt OBE is a Northern Irish actor known for a wide range of roles in television and film. He is widely recognized for playing Adam Williams in the romantic comedy-drama series Cold Feet from 1997 to 2003 and again from 2016 to 2020, a role which earned him several awards.

His other notable television work includes starring as undercover detective Tommy Murphy in Murphy's Law from 2001 to 2007, the title role in the miniseries Jekyll, and DCI Tom Brannick in the drama Bloodlands. In film, he received critical acclaim for playing Ivan Cooper in the television film Bloody Sunday (2002) and for his role as the pig farmer "Pig" Finn in Waking Ned (1998). Internationally, he is also known for playing the dwarf Bofur in Peter Jackson's The Hobbit film trilogy. He is a graduate of the Royal Central School of Speech and Drama.
