Jason Statham is an English actor, martial artist, and movie producer, born on July 26, 1967, in Shirebrook, Derbyshire, England.

He is widely known for portraying tough, gritty, or violent characters, primarily in various action-thriller films, and has been credited for leading the resurgence of action films during the 2000s and 2010s. Statham often performs a significant portion of his own stunts, a practice rooted in his background in martial arts and his earlier career as a competitive diver. He was a member of Britain's National Diving Squad for twelve years, even competing in the 1990 Commonwealth Games.

His film career began after meeting director Guy Ritchie, who cast him in his first feature film, Lock, Stock and Two Smoking Barrels (1998), followed by Snatch (2000). He rose to prominence as the lead role, Frank Martin, in The Transporter trilogy (2002–2008). He is also a major star in major action franchises, notably as Lee Christmas in The Expendables series and Deckard Shaw in The Fast & Furious series (including the spin-off Fast & Furious Presents: Hobbs & Shaw). Other notable films include Crank (2006) and its sequel, The Bank Job (2008), The Mechanic (2011), Wrath of Man (2021), The Meg (2018) and Meg 2: The Trench (2023), and The Beekeeper (2024).

He has been in a relationship with model Rosie Huntington-Whiteley since 2010.
