Chyler Leigh is an American actress and former model, born Chyler Leigh Potts on April 10, 1982, in Fresno, California. She rose to prominence in the early 2000s with roles in teen dramas like the WB series 7th Heaven (as Frankie Stone) and the short-lived Girls Club. Her breakout came in 2005 as Lex Luthor's sister, Lucy Lane, on Smallville, but she gained widespread recognition for her portrayal of Dr. Lexie Grey, the spirited half-sister of Meredith Grey, on the long-running ABC medical drama Grey's Anatomy from 2007 to 2012. Leigh's performance earned her a 2008 Soap Opera Digest Award nomination for Favorite New Couple alongside co-star Eric Dane.
Beyond television, she appeared in films such as the 2001 rom-com Not Another Teen Movie (as Janey Briggs) and the 2006 horror flick Superman Returns.
