Connor McDavid is a Canadian professional ice hockey center and the captain of the Edmonton Oilers in the National Hockey League (NHL). Born on January 13, 1997, he is widely regarded as one of the best, if not the best, players in the world. He was selected first overall by the Oilers in the 2015 NHL Entry Draft.
Known for his extraordinary acceleration, high-end speed, and exceptional on-ice vision, he became the youngest captain in NHL history at age 19. His career highlights include winning the Art Ross Trophy (league scoring champion) five times, the Hart Memorial Trophy (Most Valuable Player) three times, and the Ted Lindsay Award (most outstanding player as voted by the players) four times. He also won the Conn Smythe Trophy as the playoff MVP in 2024, despite his team losing in the Stanley Cup Final.
