Daesung (born Kang Dae-sung on April 26, 1989) is a prominent South Korean singer, variety star, and actor. He is most famous as a lead vocalist of the legendary K-pop boy band BIGBANG, which debuted in 2006.

Known for his soulful, powerful voice and incredibly wide vocal range, Daesung has carved out a unique space in the industry by excelling in both mainstream pop and Trot (a traditional Korean pop genre), with his hit "Look at Me, Gwisun" becoming a fan favorite.
