Daniel Dae Kim is an American actor, producer, and director known for his prominent roles in network television and film.
He was born in Busan, South Korea, and immigrated to the United States with his family when he was young, growing up in Pennsylvania.
His most widely recognized television roles include:
Jin-Soo Kwon in the hit sci-fi action series Lost (2004–2010), for which he shared a Screen Actors Guild Award for Best Ensemble.
Chin Ho Kelly in the police procedural series Hawaii Five-0 (2010–2017).
Beyond acting, he is an executive producer of the ABC television series The Good Doctor, which is produced by his company, 3AD. He has also had recurring roles in shows like Angel, Star Trek: Enterprise, ER, and 24, and voiced the character Johnny Gat in the Saints Row video game series. He also played Fire Lord Ozai in the Netflix live-action series Avatar: The Last Airbender.
