Drew Starkey, whose full name is Joseph Andrew Starkey, is an American actor.
He was born on November 4, 1993, in Asheville, North Carolina, and largely grew up in Hickory, North Carolina. He graduated from Western Carolina University in 2016 with a double major in English and theater performance.
Starkey is widely recognized for his main role as Rafe Cameron in the Netflix adventure series Outer Banks (2020–present).
He began his career with supporting roles in films such as Love, Simon and The Hate U Give (both 2018). Other notable film and television credits include Just Mercy, The Devil All the Time, Hellraiser, and the series The Terminal List. In 2024, he starred as Eugene Allerton in the film Queer.
He is the eldest of four siblings and his father is Todd Starkey, a college basketball coach. He has interests that include playing the piano and guitar, as well as sports and outdoor activities like baseball, basketball, mountain biking, and trap and skeet shooting.
