Vanilla Ice is an American rapper, actor, and television host best known for his 1990 hit single, "Ice Ice Baby."
He rose to prominence in the early 1990s as one of the first white rappers to achieve mainstream success. While his initial popularity was massive, it was also controversial, particularly regarding the authenticity of his street background and the sampling used in his music.
After his initial music success waned, he transitioned into acting, reality television, and, notably, a long career in house flipping and real estate, starring in the DIY Network show The Vanilla Ice Project. Musically, he has also experimented with various genres, including nu metal.
