Jack Black is an American actor, comedian, and musician known for his energetic and often over-the-top comedic roles in films like School of Rock, Shallow Hal, and the Jumanji sequels. He also does extensive voice work, most notably as Po in the Kung Fu Panda animated film series and Bowser in The Super Mario Bros. Movie.
He is also the lead vocalist and one half of the Grammy Award-winning comedy rock duo Tenacious D, which he formed with Kyle Gass. With his distinctive, larger-than-life personality, he has been a prominent figure in film and music since his breakthrough role in the movie High Fidelity (2000).
