Jessica Chastain is an American actress and producer known for her versatile and powerful performances, often portraying strong-willed women in films with feminist themes.
Born on March 24, 1977, in Sacramento, California, she graduated from the prestigious Juilliard School. After working on television and in theater, she had her breakthrough in 2011 with a slate of acclaimed films, including The Tree of Life and The Help, for which she received her first Academy Award nomination.
