Jordan Peele is an American actor, comedian, and filmmaker, primarily known for his work in both the comedy and horror genres.
He first rose to prominence as half of the sketch comedy duo Key & Peele alongside Keegan-Michael Key, whose TV series ran on Comedy Central from 2012 to 2015.
Peele made a significant impact as a writer and director with his directorial debut, the critically acclaimed and commercially successful horror film Get Out (2017). This film earned him the Academy Award for Best Original Screenplay. His subsequent directorial works, Us (2019) and Nope (2022), solidified his reputation for creating films that blend psychological horror and suspense with sharp social commentary, often focusing on themes of race, identity, and spectacle in American culture.
He is also a producer on various television and film projects, including Lovecraft Country and the film Candyman (2021).
