Keke Palmer is an American actress, singer, and television personality. Her birth name is Lauren Keyana Palmer, and she was born on August 26, 1993, in Harvey, Illinois.
She began her career as a child actress, with early roles in films like Barbershop 2: Back in Business (2004) and Akeelah and the Bee (2006), the latter being a breakthrough role. She starred as the title character in the Nickelodeon sitcom True Jackson, VP from 2008 to 2011.
Palmer has successfully transitioned into mature roles in both film and television, with notable appearances in movies such as Hustlers (2019) and Jordan Peele's Nope (2022). Her TV work includes main roles in series like Scream Queens and Berlin Station. She has also received recognition for her voice work in the Ice Age franchise and Lightyear.
