Malia Baker is a Canadian actress and activist who has quickly become a prominent young talent in television and film. Born in Botswana on December 18, 2006, she moved to Canada as a toddler and grew up in Vancouver.
She is widely recognized for her breakout role as the sweet, organized Mary Anne Spier in Netflix's critically acclaimed series adaptation of ***The Baby-Sitters Club*** (2020–2021). Following that success, she ventured into the fantasy musical space as Chloe Charming, the sword-wielding daughter of Cinderella, in the Disney+ hit film ***Descendants: The Rise of Red*** (2024). She reprises her lead role as Chloe in the sequel, ***Descendants: Wicked Wonderland*** (2026).
Beyond her major streaming roles, Baker has appeared in projects like Nickelodeon's Are You Afraid of the Dark? and the thriller What We Hide. Outside of acting, she is an outspoken advocate for social justice issues and uses her platform to raise awareness about gender equality and racial injustice.
