Miranda Cosgrove is an American actress, singer, and producer. She was born Miranda Taylor Cosgrove on May 14, 1993, in Los Angeles, California.
She began her career in commercials at a young age. Her breakout film role was as Summer Hathaway in the 2003 movie School of Rock. She then rose to fame on the Nickelodeon series Drake & Josh (2004–2007) as Megan Parker. She achieved mainstream success as the lead, Carly Shay, in the Nickelodeon sitcom iCarly (2007–2012). For her work on iCarly, she was listed as the highest-paid child actor of 2012 by Guinness World Records.
Cosgrove also has a music career, having released a debut EP, About You Now, and a debut studio album, Sparks Fly, in 2010. She is also well-known for voicing the character Margo in the Despicable Me film series, beginning in 2010.
More recently, she starred as the lead and served as an executive producer in the iCarly revival series (2021–2023) on Paramount+. She also hosts the CBS show Mission Unstoppable with Miranda Cosgrove. She is an alumna of the University of Southern California (USC).
