Molly Yeh is an American cookbook author, television personality, restaurateur, and food blogger born on May 22, 1989. A classically trained percussionist and graduate of the Juilliard School, she traded urban life in New York City for a sugar beet farm in East Grand Forks, Minnesota, after falling in love with her husband, Nick Hagen, a farmer. There, she blends her Chinese and Jewish heritage with Midwestern influences in her recipes, which emphasize comfort food, baking, and seasonal ingredients.
Yeh gained fame through her award-winning blog, My Name is Yeh, named Saveur's Food Blog of the Year in 2015 for its artistic photography and heartfelt stories. Her debut cookbook, Molly on the Range (2016), won the IACP Judges' Choice Award, followed by New York Times bestsellers like Home Is Where the Eggs Are (2019) and Sweet Farm! (2023). She hosts the long-running Food Network series Girl Meets Farm, now in its 15th season as of 2025, where she shares farm-to-table meals, family traditions, and celebrations with warmth and creativity.
An Emmy- and James Beard-nominated talent, Yeh co-owns the popular bakery-café Bernie's with her husband. Recognized on Forbes' 30 Under 30 list, The Forward 50, and as a Glamour Woman of the Year in Food (2019), she received an honorary doctorate from the University of North Dakota in 2022. A mother of two daughters, Yeh continues to inspire through her joyful approach to cooking, writing, music, and photography.
