Niall Horan is an Irish singer-songwriter who first rose to global fame as a member of the highly successful boy band One Direction.

* Early Career: He began his career by auditioning as a solo artist on the British singing competition The X Factor in 2010. Although he didn't qualify alone, he was grouped with four other contestants (Harry Styles, Liam Payne, Louis Tomlinson, and Zayn Malik) to form One Direction.

* One Direction: The band achieved tremendous success, releasing five chart-topping albums before going on an indefinite hiatus in 2016.

* Solo Career: Following the band's break, Horan launched a successful solo career, signing with Capitol Records. His music is often described as soft rock, pop, and folk-pop. His solo albums include Flicker (2017), Heartbreak Weather (2020), and The Show (2023), featuring hit singles like "This Town," "Slow Hands," and "Heaven."

* Recent Work: He has also served as a coach on the reality singing competition show The Voice.
