Peter Krause is an American actor, director, and producer known for his leading roles in multiple television series.

He was born Peter William Krause on August 12, 1965, in Alexandria, Minnesota. Krause is an alumnus of Gustavus Adolphus College and the New York University Tisch School of the Arts, where he received an MFA in acting.
