Phillipa Anne Soo is an American actress and singer. She is best known for her leading roles on Broadway, primarily in musicals.

She gained prominence for originating the role of Eliza Hamilton in the musical Hamilton, for which she earned a nomination for the 2016 Tony Award for Best Actress in a Musical. She also received a Grammy Award for Best Musical Theater Album for her work on Hamilton.

Other notable Broadway credits include playing the title role of Amélie Poulain in Amélie, Rebecca in The Parisian Woman, Cinderella in Into the Woods, and Guenevere in Camelot. She also originated the role of Natasha Rostova in the Off-Broadway production of Natasha, Pierre & The Great Comet of 1812.

In addition to her stage career, she has appeared in television series like the CBS military drama The Code and the ABC medical drama Doctor Odyssey, as well as the Hulu miniseries Dopesick and the Apple TV+ series Shining Girls.

Phillipa Soo was born on May 31, 1990, in Libertyville, Illinois. She is married to Steven Pasquale (m. 2017). She is a graduate of The Juilliard School.
