Shonda Rhimes is an award-winning American television producer, screenwriter, and author. She is the founder and CEO of the global media company Shondaland. She is one of the most influential figures in modern television, recognized as the first woman to create three television dramas, "Grey's Anatomy," "Private Practice," and "Scandal," that have each achieved the 100-episode milestone.

Rhimes is the creator and showrunner of the long-running medical drama "Grey's Anatomy" (2005–present) and the political thriller "Scandal" (2012–2018), as well as the executive producer of series like "How to Get Away with Murder" (2014–2020), and the highly successful Netflix series "Bridgerton" (2020–present) and "Inventing Anna" (2022). Her work is known for its diverse casting, strong female characters, and complex, fast-paced storytelling.
