Clark Gregg is an American actor, director, and screenwriter. He is most widely known for portraying Agent Phil Coulson in the Marvel Cinematic Universe, appearing in films like Iron Man, Thor, and The Avengers, and starring in the television series Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D., where he also directed some episodes.

Beyond his Marvel role, Gregg has appeared in numerous films such as The Usual Suspects, One Hour Photo, 500 Days of Summer, and Being the Ricardos. On television, he played FBI Special Agent Mike Casper on The West Wing and Richard Campbell, the ex-husband of the main character, on the sitcom The New Adventures of Old Christine.

As a writer, he penned the screenplay for the horror film What Lies Beneath (2000), and he wrote and directed the films Choke (2008) and Trust Me (2013).
