Sophia Laforteza (born December 31, 2002) is a Filipino and American singer.
She made her debut in 2024 as the leader of the global girl group Katseye, which was formed through the 2023 reality show Dream Academy, a collaboration between Hybe and Geffen Records. She was the first member announced for the group.
Sophia was born in New York City and grew up in Manila, Philippines. Her mother, Carla Guevara Laforteza, is a musical theater actress and singer, and her father, Godfrey Laforteza, is an executive chef. She is fluent in English and Tagalog. She graduated with the highest academic honors from Multiple Intelligence International School in Quezon City in June 2021. She has been singing since she was three years old.
