Stephanie Beatriz is an Argentine-American actress, singer, and voice artist born on February 10, 1981, in Neuquén, Argentina. She moved to the United States as a child and grew up in the Washington, D.C., area. Beatriz rose to prominence for her breakout role as Detective Rosa Diaz on the Fox/NBC comedy series Brooklyn Nine-Nine (2013–2021), earning critical acclaim for her portrayal of the tough, no-nonsense character. She is also widely recognized as the voice of the fiery, determined Princess Miriam "Mirabel" Madrigal in Disney's animated film Encanto (2021), which became a global hit and earned her a Grammy Award for Best Animated Film Soundtrack.
