Danielle Fishel is an American actress, director, and television personality best known for her role as Topanga Lawrence on the popular 1990s ABC sitcom Boy Meets World (1993–2000), which she reprised in the Disney Channel sequel Girl Meets World (2014–2017). Born on March 5, 1981, in Mesa, Arizona, she began her career as a child model and appeared in commercials before landing her breakout role at age 12. Fishel has also guest-starred in shows like Full House, Ellen, and The Guardian, and competed on season 11 of Dancing with the Stars in 2010. Transitioning behind the camera, she has directed episodes of Girl Meets World and other series. A University of Phoenix graduate with a bachelor's degree in acting, she is married to Jensen Karp since 2018, with whom she has two sons, and advocates for body positivity and mental health awareness through her podcast Pod Meets World co-hosted with co-stars Rider Strong and Will Friedle.
