Stephen Colbert is an American comedian, writer, producer, actor, and television host. He is best known for hosting the late-night talk show, The Late Show with Stephen Colbert, on CBS since 2015.
Before this, he gained widespread recognition as the host of the satirical Comedy Central program, The Colbert Report, which ran from 2005 to 2014. On The Colbert Report, he played a fictionalized, over-the-top conservative pundit personality.
