Kiss
Kiss is an American rock band formed in New York City in 1973 by lead singers and guitarists Paul Stanley and Gene Simmons, drummer Peter Criss, and lead guitarist Ace Frehley.
They are known for their elaborate stage outfits, face paint, and large-scale, theatrical performances that often feature pyrotechnics, smoking guitars, and levitating drum kits. They rose to fame in the mid-1970s with their hard rock and heavy metal sound.
Key members Stanley ("Starchild") and Simmons ("The Demon") have been the only constant members throughout the band's history. They have sold over 100 million records worldwide, making them one of the best-selling music artists of all time. They were inducted into the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame in 2014.
