Chris Stapleton is an acclaimed American singer-songwriter and guitarist, known for his powerful, soulful voice and music that blends country, Southern rock, and bluegrass.
Before rising to solo stardom in 2015 with his album Traveller (which features the hit "Tennessee Whiskey"), he was one of Nashville's most prolific and sought-after songwriters, penning multiple number-one songs for other artists including Kenny Chesney, Luke Bryan, and George Strait. He also fronted the bluegrass group The SteelDrivers and the rock band The Jompson Brothers.
His solo work is recognized for its raw, authentic sound, emotional depth, and throwback to traditional country and outlaw influences. He is highly decorated, having won numerous Grammy, CMA, and ACM awards, including multiple wins for Male Vocalist of the Year. His wife, Morgane Stapleton, is also a songwriter and performs backup vocals with him on tour.
