Chris Martin is an English singer, songwriter, musician, and producer, best known as the lead vocalist, pianist, and co-founder of the globally successful rock band Coldplay.
Born Christopher Anthony John Martin in 1977 in Exeter, England, he formed Coldplay at University College London with bandmates Jonny Buckland, Guy Berryman, and Will Champion. Since their debut album Parachutes in 2000, Coldplay has achieved immense international recognition, selling over 160 million records and winning numerous awards, including multiple Grammys and Brit Awards.
