Jimmy Page is an English musician, songwriter, and record producer, widely celebrated as one of the most influential and important guitarists in rock history.
He is best known as the founder, guitarist, and producer of the legendary rock band Led Zeppelin. In this role, he pioneered the band's distinctive heavy, blues-infused sound and was the principal composer of much of their iconic material, including tracks like "Stairway to Heaven," "Kashmir," and "Whole Lotta Love."
Before Led Zeppelin, he was a highly sought-after session musician in London during the mid-1960s and later served as the lead guitarist for the band The Yardbirds from 1966 to 1968.
Page is known for his innovative guitar techniques, complex arrangements, and distinctive use of instruments like the double-necked Gibson EDS-1275. His work has been fundamental to the development of hard rock and heavy metal.
