Rhodes is the son of wrestling legend Dusty Rhodes and the half-brother of Dustin Rhodes (Goldust/Dustin Rhodes). He began his career in WWE from 2006 to 2016, where he held several championships, often wrestling under the persona of "Stardust."
After leaving WWE, he became a central figure in the independent wrestling scene and was a co-founder and executive vice president of the rival promotion All Elite Wrestling (AEW) from 2019 to 2022.
He made a triumphant return to WWE in 2022, emphasizing his goal to win the WWE Championship, the title his father never won. In 2024, he achieved this goal by defeating Roman Reigns at WrestleMania 40, winning the Undisputed WWE Universal Championship and "finishing the story." He is currently signed to WWE, performing on the SmackDown brand.
