Coy Wire is an American television anchor, correspondent, and former professional football player.
He played in the National Football League (NFL) for nine seasons as a linebacker and safety, primarily with the Buffalo Bills (2002–2007) and the Atlanta Falcons (2008–2010). He was drafted out of Stanford University, where he was a standout in both football and wrestling.
Since retiring from the NFL, Wire has transitioned into a successful media career. He joined CNN in 2015 as a full-time sports anchor and correspondent, covering major sporting events like the Olympics and Super Bowls. He is currently the anchor of CNN 10, a student-oriented news program.
Wire is also known for his motivational speaking and community work.
