Dakota Fanning, whose full name is Hannah Dakota Fanning, is an American actress born on February 23, 1994, in Conyers, Georgia. She began her professional acting career as a child, and her breakthrough role came at age seven in the 2001 film I Am Sam, which earned her a Screen Actors Guild Award nomination, making her the youngest nominee in SAG history at the time.
Fanning has worked consistently in both blockbuster and independent films throughout her career, making the transition from a highly successful child star to an adult actress.
